Sports and exercise are for young people.

If you have passed your 50th birthday you probably have heard this, or even feel like it’s true. Your body starts changing, as early as at 30 years old.

Bones tend to become less dense, the cartilage that lines the joins tends to thin partly because of the wear and tear of years of movement. Ligaments, which bind joints together, and tendons, and tendons, which bind muscle to boné, tend to become less elastic, making joints feel tight or stiff.

The amount of muscle tissue (muscle mass) and muscle strength tend to decrease beginning around age 30 and continuing throughout life. And by the age 75, the percentage of body fat typically doubles compared with what it was during young adulthood.

Your skin tends to become thinner, less elastic, drier, and finely wrinkled, provoked by the decrease in collagen production by the body.
